Glass Facial In Gainesville, FL

Potenza® RF microneedling and Sculptra® treatment planning

The Glass Facial at Mooi combines Potenza RF microneedling with a separately administered Sculptra injectable treatment as part of an individualized aesthetic plan.

Treatment begins with a consultation and facial evaluation with your provider. She will review your medical history, skin characteristics, facial anatomy, previous procedures, current medications and aesthetic goals before determining whether Potenza, Sculptra or a combined approach may be appropriate.

Not every patient is a candidate for both procedures. The treatment areas, timing, device settings, injectable plan and follow-up recommendations are determined following individualized evaluation and patient screening.

What is Glass Facial?

Glass Facial is the name Mooi uses for a combination aesthetic service involving two separate procedures:

Potenza RF Microneedling uses microneedle electrodes to deliver radiofrequency energy at clinician-selected depths and settings.

Sculptra is an injectable treatment made with poly-L-lactic acid and may be considered for selected facial wrinkles and contour concerns.

Depending on your provider’s evaluation, the procedures may be considered together, scheduled separately or not recommended.

Why patients consider a Glass Facial consultation

Areas and concerns that may be evaluated

Depending on your skin, facial anatomy and your provider’s assessment, the consultation may include evaluation of:

Uneven-looking skin texture
Fine facial lines
Selected acne scars
Enlarged-looking pores
Selected areas of mild skin laxity
Cheek lines and wrinkles
Nasolabial folds
Facial contour or volume concerns
Potenza and Sculptra serve different purposes and are not used interchangeably. Some concerns may be better suited to another laser, injectable, skin-resurfacing treatment or surgical option.

Is the Glass Facial appropriate for everyone?

No. Clinical appropriateness depends on your medical history, skin characteristics, facial anatomy, current medications and supplements, previous injectable or energy-based treatments, history of scarring or pigment changes, active skin irritation or infection, implanted medical devices, pregnancy or breastfeeding status and other relevant risks or contraindications.

Sculptra may not be appropriate for patients with certain allergies or scarring tendencies. Your provider will review relevant safety considerations during your consultation.

Based on your evaluation, your provider may recommend Potenza, Sculptra, another aesthetic service, additional medical evaluation or no treatment at this time.

Before Treatment

Your appointment begins with an evaluation of your skin, facial anatomy and proposed treatment areas. your provider will explain the procedures being considered, their regulatory status, potential risks, limitations, available alternatives and aftercare requirements. Your skin will be cleansed, and topical numbing may be used before Potenza when appropriate.

During Treatment

When Potenza is included, the handpiece places microneedle electrodes at clinician-selected depths while delivering radiofrequency energy. When Sculptra is included, it is administered as a separate injectable procedure according to the individualized treatment plan discussed with you before treatment. The order, timing and location of each procedure are determined by your provider. Appointment length varies based on the areas and services included.

After Treatment

Temporary redness, swelling, warmth, tenderness, pinpoint bleeding or visible treatment markings may occur following RF microneedling. Temporary swelling, bruising, redness, tenderness or discomfort may occur following Sculptra injections. Delayed papules, nodules and other complications are also possible. Rare but serious vascular complications can occur with facial filler injections. Mooi will provide individualized aftercare instructions based on the procedures performed. Contact Mooi if you experience an unexpected reaction or have concerns during recovery.
Follow-Up and Treatment Planning

There is no standard Glass Facial schedule appropriate for every patient. Follow-up recommendations depend on the procedures performed, treatment areas, device settings, Sculptra treatment plan, individual response and aesthetic goals. During follow-up, your provider may evaluate the treated areas, address questions or concerns and determine whether another procedure, continued monitoring or a different aesthetic option should be considered. The number of appointments, degree of visible change and duration of any aesthetic result vary. No specific outcome or treatment duration can be guaranteed.
