Physician-led RF microneedling for the face and body
At Mooi, treatment begins with an individualized consultation with your provider. She will review your medical history, skin characteristics, previous procedures, current concerns and aesthetic goals before determining whether Potenza RF microneedling is appropriate for you.
The treatment area, needle depth, radiofrequency settings and follow-up plan are selected according to your individual evaluation. Potenza is not appropriate for every patient, skin concern or treatment area.
Why patients consider Potenza
- Adjustable needle depths and radiofrequency settings
- Monopolar and bipolar treatment modes
- Treatment planning for selected facial and body areas
- An in-office procedure without surgical incisions
- Topical numbing when appropriate
- Individualized aftercare and follow-up
- The ability to discuss other aesthetic services as part of a broader treatment plan
Potenza is not a one-size-fits-all procedure. Recommendations are based on your skin characteristics, medical history, previous treatments, treatment area and your provider’s clinical judgment.
What is Potenza RF Microneedling?
RF microneedling differs from traditional microneedling because radiofrequency energy is delivered through the needle electrodes. Your provider determines whether traditional microneedling, RF microneedling, another aesthetic procedure or no treatment is appropriate following an individualized skin evaluation.
Areas and skin concerns that may be evaluated
Depending on your skin, medical history and your providera’s evaluation, Potenza RF microneedling may be discussed for selected concerns involving:
Is Potenza appropriate for everyone?
No. Clinical appropriateness depends on your medical history, skin characteristics, current medications and supplements, previous cosmetic procedures, history of scarring or pigment changes, active skin irritation or infection, implanted medical devices, pregnancy or breastfeeding status, the proposed treatment area, relevant risks or contraindications, and your aesthetic goals and expectations. Based on this evaluation, your provider may recommend additional assessment, medical clearance, or a different aesthetic option.
Your Potenza treatment
Before Treatment
Your appointment begins with an evaluation of your skin and the proposed treatment area. Your provider or a member of Mooi’s clinical team will explain the procedure, relevant risks, limitations, alternatives and aftercare requirements.
The skin will be cleansed, and topical numbing may be applied before treatment. Preparation varies depending on the area being treated and your individualized procedure plan.
During Treatment
Temporary redness, swelling, tenderness, pinpoint bleeding or visible treatment markings may occur. The appearance and duration of these effects vary based on the treatment area, procedure intensity and individual response.
Your provider or a member of Mooi’s clinical team will provide individualized skincare, activity and sun-exposure guidance following treatment.
Contact Mooi if you experience an unexpected reaction or have concerns during recovery.
There is no standard number of Potenza procedures appropriate for every patient. Follow-up recommendations depend on factors such as the treatment area, your skin characteristics, the procedure settings used, your response to the initial treatment, your aesthetic goals, and whether another service should be considered. During follow-up, your provider may evaluate the treated area, address any questions or concerns, and determine whether another procedure, continued monitoring, or a different aesthetic option may be appropriate. The number of sessions, degree of change, and duration of any aesthetic result vary, and no specific outcome can be guaranteed.
